Eldar Webway Spider Trees and Ghost Pillars

Webway
Resin Cast Webway Tree and Ghost Pillar options
This Web way is based on the Eldar from WH40k. It's our idea about what we thought web ways should be in the game. Miniatures are for scale and not sold with the web way. It's a two-part resin cast model. Actually comes in 5 pieces but when we ship we glue the branches on the tree section.

The Background Story. The trees start out as terrain features of the game as the web way spider insects created by the old ones carried the seed stones that allowed the trees to grow on any planet or object across space and time. Creating the web way. The old ones gave the Eldar psychic abilities to control the nature of the web spider insects (drawings coming soon) and control of the web way system. The web way spiders are small insects capable of navigating the warp and early on the spiders created the links though thin threads of ethereal web. That once the spiders reached a destination a web way link was formed and from that. The spiders would burrow into the planets soil being consumed by the seed stone it carried in it abdomen and the first web way tree would grow, bear fruit of additional web way spiders and seed stones and populate planets with trees that appeared to be fossilized wraith bone only half grown. The more trees on a planet the stronger the web way link. (Note: not always a tree, could be a rock, a bare looking earth patch or other foliage as often these trees don't want to be discovered by enemies, yet the tree is the most common form and difficult to destroy.)

Once the Web way tree is grown. The Eldar psychics can call the Ghost pillars that are stored in the Web Way. Depending on planetary distance these ghost pillars materialize somewhat transparent and allow the web way portals to open. The ghost pillars are self-replicating and are grown from wraith bone and contain the portal summoning stones. Only the old ones really know how these pillars really work. It is a fact only the Eldar psychics can control them and know where they are located in the web way itself.

For game purposes Ghost Pillars can't be destroyed. However the web way tree bases can and have an AR of 18. You can use these like drop pods for Eldar and costs 2 points per tree and 20 points per Ghost pillar. Trees are placed before the game starts in the terrain phase of the game. 4 trees equal one terrain choice. 1 pillar working allows one troop choice to enter, 2 trees allow vehicles and 3 troops to enter and 3 pillars 5 troops 3 vehicles or larger vehicles and Titan to deep strike. Well that's our thoughts on the rules yours can be different. We made these less costly than a drop pod because of the ability of enemies to target and destroy the trees.
